Gossip

Too often, I find myself dropping into the sin of gossip. Please tell me that I am not alone in this shameful act?

We call it gossip because it is hardly ever the truth.

No one gossips about another’s good qualities.

Gossip is our way of putting ourselves above another.

Gossip is the lowest level of conversation

Gossip is the Devil’s telephone line.

 “Gossip so that you can sell your parrot to your pastor.”

A gossip betrays a confidence; avoid anyone who talks too much. (Proverbs 20:19)

A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends. (Proverbs 16:28

I am afraid that when I come, I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder. (2 Corinthians 12:20)
