"Easter" may appear as one day on our calendars, but on the church calendar, Easter is actually a season. The Easter season lasts for six Sundays leading up to Pentecost on June 8th.
The early church leaders taught that EVERY Sunday is actually a "little Easter" as we continue to celebrate the miracle of the empty tomb and God's victory over death throughout the year – and throughout our lives.
So…Happy Easter! As you marvel over the budding trees and chirping birds that pronounce the new life of spring, may you also continue to marvel over the new life that is offered to you through the miracle of Easter. (Pastor Heather Malnick)
And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place (Acts 2:1, AMP)
Prayer- Lord may we continue to be as one, on this Pentecost and all future ones. Amen.
