Sour Christians discourage more faith than the world can handle. Let’s continue our study of laughter. Please join me!
Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! (Psalm 32:11)
Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, Rejoice. (Philippians 4:4)
You put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. (Psalm 4:7)
The days of the afflicted are evil, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast. (Proverbs 15:15)
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. (Proverbs 31:25)
And then we read this one.
I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one ever see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:8-11)
Laugh, friends, even when it seems all that you have left is to cry.
