Life in the Full

Recently, a news clip showed a monumental event on stage and an audience of hundreds, each one missing the real life event by taking pictures on their phone. They were there but they weren’t there. That is living the half- life friend.
Job didn’t have that problem. When he spoke, people listened.
“Men and women listened when I spoke, hung expectantly on my every word. After I spoke, they’d be quiet, taking it all in. They welcomed my counsel like spring rain, drinking it all in.
When I smiled at them, they could hardly believe it; their faces lit up, their troubles took wing!
I was their leader, establishing the mood and setting the pace by which they lived. Where I led, they followed.” (Job 29:21-25)
Sadly, our phones have taken the place of real life. Imagine if Jesus had to cope with cell phones at the feeding of the 5000. Suppose Peter walked on water while snapping photos of Jesus on his phone. Suppose Joseph was on his I-phone during the birth of the Saviour!!
Sometimes we don’t even understand that we’ve been missing real life until we hear another person talking about what happened. Let Christ’s love grow in your heart so that you can share it for all to appreciate. Brighten someone’s day today by choosing to live your life to the fullest and confounding those who don’t or won’t.
Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” Corrie Ten Boom
When I meet you, I want to see you, not you taking a picture of me through your phone!
