Loaf Mass Day

Do you know about Lammas? It is Loaf Mass Day, celebrated on August First in some Christian cultures. It is a celebration of the first of the grain harvest. Grain used to be a staple in older cultures and still is today in some lands. People’s lives depend on the crop. Now we turn up our noses at grain and instead eat and use pretend things like oat-based margarine and pretend meat.

Have we added a pretend God to our lists of not real? God calls you to pay attention today.

I do not sit with deceitful people, nor will I go with pretenders. (Psalm 26:4, NASB)

Those who hate the Lord pretend to obey Him. (Psalm 81:15a, NASB)

There is one who pretends to be rich but has nothing; Another pretends to be poor but has great wealth. (Psalm 13:7, NASB)

“Watch as I take those who call themselves true believers but are nothing of the kind, pretenders whose true membership is in the club of Satan—watch as I strip off their pretensions. (Revelation 3:9a, MSG)

Eat pretend food if you must, but do not carry your pretend game into your relationship with the Lord God Almighty!
