Love vs. Bread

Mother Theresa said that the hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.

So now I ask this question. When we are shoving food in our faces are we really in need of love? Does that explain why we eat and eat and are never fully satisfied? If our love quotient is not satisfied, will we ever feel full? The Bible’s Love Quotient is of course 1 Corinthians 13.

Let’s judge ourselves accordingly.

How well do we love according to this scripture? Where are we on patience, kindness, generosity, humility, politeness, unselfishness and forgiveness? How clean are our minds from evil thoughts? Are we really rejoicing in the truth?

I can’t answer these things for you but God will if you ask him what he thinks.

Prayer- God, show us our true selves and then draw us to be more like you. Amen.
