Some dental work left me with Masseter Mouth. (No, I didn’t know what that was either.) The Masseter muscles are two of the strongest muscles in the human body and part of their job is to open and close our jaws.
These two muscles literally work against gravity. That must be why they give way so easily whenever we open our mouths to say something rude, disrespectful or demeaning.
The cure for Masseter Mouth is soft foods, wearing a mouth splint and resting the jaw. Hmmm. Sounds like a cure for both types of Masseter Mouth.
Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. (Ecclesiastes 5:2, NIV)
Prayer- Lord, give us the courage to deal with the wickedness in our hearts so that they never come out of our mouths. Amen,
