Do you pray with honest lips? (Psalm 17:1, NIV)
Do we pray reasonable prayers? (John 17:15, NIV)
Do you know what hinders your prayers? (1Peter 3:7, 12, NIV)
Do you confess your sins to another? (James 5:16, NIV)
Do we pray (incorrectly) for a chosen few? (1Timothy 2:1, NIV)
Do you know that it is never too late for prayer? (Jonah 2:7, NIV)
Do you know that our prayers are presented to God? (Revelation 8:3, NIV)
Do you fast and pray? (Ezra 8:23, NIV)
And as we look at our own prayers, how do they measure up? Mine falter often and probably yours do too. Yet here is still the promise.
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3, NIV)
Prayer- God we gratefully acknowledge that everything you tell us about prayer is right and good, but we are also grateful that you listen when our words aren’t great or majestic or even right. Yet you hear us and we shout a huge thank you! Amen.
