We’ll be discussing family lineage tomorrow, but right now we find ourselves on the second Sunday of May, Mother’s Day.
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, for what ever reason, our mother is our mother. She gave us birth and that is no easy task. She didn’t abort us. No matter our opinion of her faults and failings, she did the best she knew how to do at the time.
We may not be able to love her, but God calls us to honor her, for our own good.
Regard (treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy) your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God gives you. (Exodus 20:12, AMP)
Prayer- Lord when past hurts get in the way of our obedience, help us choose your will. Amen.
