Off to Seminary

I will be gone for a couple of weeks and I am so excited but please forgive me if I don’t comment on your articles for awhile.  I will be gone for about 10 days in June and I can not wait.  The seminary I am attending is one of the finest in the nation. It is Southern California Seminary and it is part to Dr. David Jeremiah’s Shadow Mountain Church’s program to equip the saints.

The best part is that it is 100% online.  I am actually going to Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio for a one week Summer Intensive where pastors have 3 credit hours crammed into their overload brains.  My hope is that it doesn’t all leak out.

This website, EverydayChristian.com has grown so much since I started writing here about a year or so ago.  It has assembled some of the finest writers (excluding myself) that I have had the privilege of knowing and pleasure of reading.  The faithfulness of the staff in sticking to biblically sound and theologically grounded writers is second to none in my opinion.  In case you didn’t know, this site was in the top 200 of Christian websites in the nation and growing.  It continues to feed the flock, to grow me in grace and knowledge and discover I have so much to learn.  Rust never sleeps so iron sharpening iron has never been more necessary in this ever increasing secular world.

The growth of humanism, existentialism, multi-faceted religions, and other belief systems are seriously competing with Christian beliefs now.  More and more, the “Only One Way” message of salvation (Acts 4:12, 16:30-31, etc.) is being seen as intolerant and politically incorrect.  Nonetheless, I stick to the opinions found in the Word of God, the Bible.  Galatians 1:10 is becoming my favorite passage: “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”  Just watching and listening to the talk shows today you can see how empty and purposeless opinions are.  I care only about One opinion…and it isn’t mine (Prov. 14:12)!

So please don’t take the absence of my comments personally.  I will try to comment on your articles when I return and will then catch up.  I just want to thank you all and I thank God for you all.  See you soon for I’m off to seminary.  Now, where are my car keys?
