Old Habits Die Hard

Our community has been recycling green waste for months, but every now and again, I find myself tossing a banana peel into the garbage. It’s just years of bad habit.  I expect to get it right eventually.

That’s why I hold out hope for all our other bad habits. The last ten pounds, the smoking, the anxious nail biting…pick your poison. It’s only us wanting our own way.

Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. (1 Peter 4:1, MSG)

Never fear, God has a habit too…

Prayer- Thank you God that your habit is forgiving us. (From Psalm 130:3-4, MSG) THANK YOU!!!! Amen
