Old Prayer, Same Idea

Do you recognize this prayer?

So he said, “When you pray, say,
Father,
Reveal who you are.
Set the world right.
Keep us alive with three square meals.
Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.
Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.”(Msg)

Or this one?

And He said to them, when you pray, say: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Your will be done [held holy and revered] on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us daily our bread, food for the morrow.
And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us [who has offended us or done us wrong]. And bring us not into temptation but rescue us from evil. (AMP)

Or what about this one?

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. (KJV)

They are all known as the Lord’s Prayer, found in Luke 11:2-4. Each is translated for a particular audience. The meanings are the same. Which one speaks to you? Which one do you speak to Him?

Prayer-Father, forgive us when we forget to pray in any version. Amen.
