Satisfied

Are you satisfied, really satisfied or does your heart yearn for a deeper experience with God?

Is this verse your truth?

Psalm 42:2a – My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. (NIV)

Here is some good advice. Be an eagle not a crow. Crows like to flock together, protecting their feed and themselves.  But an eagle flies alone, as close to the heavens as possible. They dare to approach the throne of God.

Do you dare to be satisfied with God alone or do you depend on your crow crowd to approach God on your behalf? Does someone else do your praying or do you approach God on your own, and rest quietly in the arms of the One who can actually do this for you?

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:29, NIV)

Prayer- Lord God, most holy of holies, I thank you for the courage to be an eagle, searching for you with all my heart and finding you when I need you most. Amen.
