Started to Finish

Author Jan Cox says she has ‘started to finish’ her latest book, Yoi and the Land of Thrim. I sense she may have putting this off for some time, but her words declare what she intends to do now. She has ‘started to finish.’

May I gently inquire what you need to start to finish? Craft projects, cleaning the garage, dare I meddle deeper:  forgiving someone?

Moses started.

Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me. (Exodus 4:1, NIV)

Moses finished.

For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Deut 30:20b, NIV)

Today we can get started and we can work toward the finish!

Prayer – Lord, today I have started _____________________________ with the intent of finishing it in your name.  For Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. (From Hebrews 12:2, AMP)
