Two Face

Many a man or woman says one thing and means another, listens to a friend with love and concern, but runs to the nearest other to share the private woes heard or is even so dishonest that they could be accused of talking out of both sides of their mouth.

The Bible calls those people two-minded, hesitating, dubious and irresolute. It goes on to say that they are unstable, unreliable and uncertain about everything they think, feel and decide.

James 1:8-[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides] (AMP).

Sadly, they are often us. Oh not all the time, just when it suits us, when the story is too juicy to keep to ourselves or the business deal too hard to resist. Oh yes, sometimes they are us.

Psalm 119:113- I hate the thoughts of undecided [in religion], double-minded people, but Your law do I love (AMP).

Abe Lincoln is known for his honesty in all things.

“If I were two-faced, would I be wearing this one?” asked Abraham Lincoln.

What will people say about you and me in 100 years? Ouch.

Prayer: Lord, may the face we show the world be one we will not be ashamed to show to you. Amen.
