Let’s sum it all up. What did Jesus do in the midst of his grief?
He went off by himself, apparently hoping to be alone. But the crowds followed… and he took pity on them and cured their sick. (Matthew 14:14)
He continued with his ministry, fed the multitudes and took time alone when it was available.
And after He had dismissed the multitudes, He went up into the hills by Himself to pray. When it was evening, He was still there alone. (Matthew 14:23, AMPC)
He calmed, encouraged and helped his friends when they were in trouble. (Matthew 14:22-32)
He gave everything he had for the kingdom of God.
And as many as touched were made perfectly whole. (Matthew 24:36b, KJV)
Now that we know what Jesus did in his grief, will you do what Jesus would do, in yours?
But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I Am! Stop being afraid! (Matthew 14: 27, AMPC)
Prayer – Father, thank you for Christ, our example in all things. Amen
