Win the Battle

I can’t quite figure out why wars continue all over the world when each of us has our own personal war on the rampage. Forget about so-called civil wars around the world; most of the time we aren’t even civil to ourselves.

Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? (Romans 7:21b-24, NIV)

Paul knew where to look for the winning of his personal war. Do you?

Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Romans 7:25, NIV)

Have you turned to him, friends? Or do you just like fighting within yourself?

Prayer- Lord, we choose to fight our battles on your terms, with you on our side! Amen in Christ!
