Mark 9:3– his garments became glistening, intensely white, as no fuller (cloth dresser, launderer) on earth could bleach them. (AMP).
I like my whites to be white so when I prepare to do laundry, I am always on the lookout for the perfect bleach. All seemed reasonably satisfactory until I read this verse. Christ’s garments were whiter than any white ever seen!
Ecclesiastes 9:8a– Let your garments be always white [with purity.] (AMP)
God wants us to wear white too. Our outfits will never reach the white of Christ’s, but purity will make them gleam!
Bleached
God, I need a clean heart. And God, I need it now.
The stuff in me is awful, my heart, to you, I bow.
Bleach and wash and clean me.
Transparent make my soul.
Oh, Lord, come wash me now.
Make me completely whole.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for faithfully answering our prayers. Forgive our sins and whiten us up once more. In Christ’s name. Amen.
