Media mavens from around the country will gather in Nashville this week and next for education and inspiration. Saturday marks the opening of the 2011 National Religious Broadcasters’ Convention and Exposition, which is preceded each year by the Women in Christian Media National Conference.
In addition to four full days of educational seminars and networking events at the Gaylord Hotel, the NRB Convention will include a performance by award-winning singer Nicole C. Mullen, a presentation by Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, a general session taught by Ravi Zacharias, a worship service led by James MacDonald, and an awards night and banquet featuring Chuck Swindoll. From a social media session to a public policy debate, the NRB has something for every Christian who broadcasts the good news of the gospel.
In conjunction with the NRB, the Women in Christian Media organization will meet on Thursday and Friday prior to the opening of the NRB at the Embassy Suites Airport in Nashville. On Friday night February 25 at 7 PM, WCM will award Joni Lamb of Daystar Television Network and Thelma Wells of A Woman of God Ministries the annual “Excellence in Communication” awards for national achievement in media.
