Did you ever try to teach a child something? Try to get them to put their coat on for cold weather? Wear a scarf? Forget it. They may wear it out the door but at school they go to recess and leave the coat in the school.
We can’t teach people anything. We can only show them and hope they pay attention; remembering the lesson when they are in it. Eventually, children do put their coats on… and eventually, they will remember also what you told them about the Lord.
Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6, AMP)
Prayer – Father God, help us to train our children in your ways and give us the courage to trust you in believing that they will return to it… amen!
