Joan Ruth Bader Ginsburg associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, wanted to go to law school but didn’t see how she could while caring for her little one. Her father-in-law said “Ruth if you want to go to law school, you will find a way.” And she did.
I’ve had to make those decisions too. If you look, you will find that God does make a way.
“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.
(From Isaiah 43: 8-20, MSG)
Or will we determinedly stick to the same old things, do them the same old way, decline to look beyond our noses and step out into God’s new path for us?
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
(Isaiah 43:19, NIV)
The God way won’t be easy. Note how it runs through wilderness and desert rivers. A new way needs a new path. Will you choose it with me?
Consider it, friends. God repeatedly shows us a new way, a new path, if we would but follow it!
