We pridefully judge one another by worldly standards like the kind of possessions we own, or the fine house we live in, forgetting that often there is a high mortgage and an overcrowded charge card behind that fine stuff.
Or we base our opinions on a person’s education, fine job or popularity in a crowd.
Finally, if we have any common sense at all, we base our opinions on a person’s character, the kind of friend they are or how they live their life.
That’s God’s kind of standard, the one that looks at a person’s heart to see what is really in there.
What is in yours dare I ask? I sure don’t want to take a good look at mine. It is bad enough that God sees it.
God searches our heart for all its worth. (Romans 8:27) Thankfully he also changes our heart for the better.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.(Ezekiel 36:26, NIV)
Prayer- Thanks God for paving the way for us. Amen.
