Lean on Him

They lived side by side for more than twenty years and never missed a weekday jaunt downtown to the bank or the bakery. They chatted, laughed and yes, sometimes cried on their way. As Mrs. Breadner grew weaker, she couldn’t make the trip unless she leaned on my Granny for support. So Granny shouldered her friend and off they went on their journey.

We who belong to Christ are Mrs. Breadners. We cannot make the journey alone. If we are wise, we will lean on God and walk with him, wherever he leads us.

Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You. (Psalm 143:8, AMP)

Prayer- Thank you Lord, for being the kind of God who cherishes our leanings in both good and bad times. Amen.
