Have you ever seen a bleeding heart in flower? Sometimes called the valentine flower, this perennial is easy to grow and fascinating to look at. Its rosy pink, heart-shaped flowers have little white droplets dangling at the end of the heart. The flowers dangle in a row along arching stems.
It is indeed a romantic plant, but I think of it in the context of its creator. Surely God fashioned these flowers to remind us of how much he loved us. His son Jesus died for us and God gave us this plant as one more reminder of that.
Should you want more plants, the best way to get them is to divide the plants you have. Now isn’t that just like the Gospel? We share the Gospel out of our own salvation.
And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. (Mark 16:15, AMP)
Prayer – Lord, thank you for using the world around us to remind us of how much you love us and what your son, Jesus did for us when he was crucified on that cross. Amen
