My irate friend described her problem with a store clerk. She exclaimed, “I sure gave him a piece of my mind!” (Privately, I thought she should hang onto whatever mind bits she had! Because I didn’t share this thought, she is still my friend!)
How can we, as Christians, act so rudely and negatively to others? What makes us think we are better than the other guy? Wouldn’t we be better off sharing the peace of our mind; that peace that passes all understanding? My friend must have missed this verse in her daily Bible study.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7, NIV)
Maybe she missed this one too.
For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:37, NIV)
Prayer – Lord, give us grace to live a life that draws others to you. Amen
