Peeps

“Just caring for my peeps,” she said! Her peeps? What on earth is that all about?

This farm gal thinks of peeps as newly-hatched baby chicks. No farmer gets just one. They form a sea of yellow in their pens. Their cute little one-on-one peep when multiplied by thousands creates a deafening noise. They are helpless, annoying and quite frankly, useless at that stage. Given half a chance they will peck each other to death. They need total care. Cute is all they have going for them. The best thing they can do is to grow up to be full-sized chickens.

So Dear ‘Peeps’ let’s ask ourselves this question: Are we growing in Christ or are we still stuck in the peep stage?

Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ.  I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. (1 Corinthains 3:1-2, NIV)

Prayer – Lord, point us to our failures and help us grow out of them and into Christ. Amen
