Pill Me

In North America we take pills for every little thing. Pain-free; that is us. That is our life goal.

I have news for you friends, some pain is really mild and ok to experience.

Jesus’ pain was extreme. No headache meds for him. No medication for all that pain; nothing that would sever or interfere with his connection to the Father.

And they [attempted to] give Him wine mingled with myrrh, but He would not take it (Mark 15:23, AMP).

No matter what you intend to do with your own pain, remember this. Christ died for yours. Jesus suffered on our behalf.

No life event we experience will ever compare with what Jesus went through on the cross.

What if we meditated on God instead of medicating ourselves with our drugs of choice?

Prayer-Lord, remind us of what really matters. For Jesus’ sake. Amen.
