Spring Into Summer

No, I think I have that wrong. We missed spring here where I live. Literally, we had a six-inch-deep snow fall two weeks ago and now we are 90 degrees F in the shade. (Yes, I live in Canada but the metric system still makes my head ache!)

Folks, there is hot and there is hot. Hot people, hot temperatures, hot arguments, hot gambling streaks, hot anger, even hot food.

At least we know where we are with those hots, but this one is a little unnerving.

“I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold; you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless. (Revelation 3:16-17, MSG)

Maybe we should be grateful for no spring this year. After all it is a lukewarm thing. Its neither really cold like winter nor really hot like summer.

What about you friends. Are you stuck in spring, doing nothing of consequence for the Lord?

Let’s get to a working temperature and just stay there, friends… and do something for our Jesus.

Prayer- Lord we entreat you to move us into your temperature for your good and your way. Amen.
