I am sure you know by now that I am technically challenged–especially when it comes to my toothbrush. I know. How silly is that!
It has a new wrinkle. When it is running out of power, it won’t switch off, but drones on at a maddeningly low speed, cleaning nothing but air. Finally it gives up and dies until I plug it in the charger. Then it powers up, good to go for another few days wherein we repeat the whole thing all over again.
When we determine to go through life on our own, not backed up with prayer, our charger if you like, we too drone on, working in our own strength and accomplishing nothing. When will we learn that everything we can be comes from God? We used to work under our own power, but now… now, we have this super human, Godly greatness available to us.
“The true calling of a Christian is not to do extraordinary things, but to do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.” A. P. Stanley
I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13, KJV)
Prayer – Lord, today we ask that you help us realize your power available to us and then help us walk in it! Amen
