When the New Strikes

Do you fear change? That’s too bad because whether we like change or not, we are in it. Babies grow to be teens and teens grow into adulthood and parent their own babies. All of that is change and if we refuse to go along, we get dragged there.

Old ideas are more frightening than the new ones. What if your baby didn’t grow, or your job change or what if it was summer all the time. Perish the thought.

Do not fear change lest you become a stick-in-the-mud, unwilling to grow. Change happens but growth is a personal choice. Even God moves forward into new things. Take a look at this verse.

I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.(Proverbs 8:12, KJV)

Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.(Isaiah 43:18-19, AMP)

Prayer- Dear Lord, show us new things, new ways of worship, of service, of love, and then help us keep up with them. For Christ. Amen.
