When the Words Don’t Come

You know you deserve an apology. You were in the right and yet that person is not giving an inch. They simply will not say “I’m sorry, it was my fault.” Or even “Let’s forget the past and just start over.”  What do you do?  What can you do?

What if you just presumed you got that apology and you let bygones be bygones and moved forward in Christ?  What if you just let it go, no, really, seriously… let it go?

That doesn’t mean that we let ourselves get set up for a repeat but it does mean that we stop letting that event affect us.  Living in today is so much easier if we don’t drag the events of the past along with us. Just picture yourself… carrying ten pounds for every slight and every unforgiving attitude you are carrying… talk about a necessary weight loss plan,

There are precedents for forgiveness. (Ephesians 4:31-32) and your prayer life will drastically improve!

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. (Mark 11:25, AMP)

Prayer – Lord, I am praying now… please help me forgive________________ for__________________. Thanks God. Amen
