I am often asked to teach a journaling class. People don’t realize that their lives are worth recording in detail. Years from now your family will want to read how you persevered and survived the life you did.
Even your grocery lists will tell your family a lot about you. Bear in mind that information will have changed by then, just as it does today.
She ate kale? What was she thinking? Four dozen eggs; was she baking for the church or helping the Easter bunny? Artificial sweeteners; didn’t she know that sugar was a healthier choice?
No matter what writing you do, this quote still stands true.
Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil – it has no point. (Unknown)
Have you sharpened your life with a relationship with God? You’ll never make a mark for him if you don’t start there. Oh you might make a few scratches, even rip a hole in the paper, but nothing worthwhile will ever emerge from your life without that personal relationship.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NIV)
Prayer- Father God, just give us Jesus. Amen.
