If you are a secretary of any kind, count yourself in good company. Secretaries (i.e. scribes) are mentioned at least 120 times in the Bible. Like you, they recorded, counted, translated and made appointments for their superiors.
Some of them recorded the New Testament as we know it, yet remain unknown. Paul always signed his own letters but he didn’t always write them. (2 Thessalonians 3:17, MSG)
Luke gives good advice for those of us who write on the behalf of others.
It seemed good and desirable to me, [and so I have determined] also after having searched out diligently and followed all things closely and traced accurately the course from the highest to the minutest detail from the very first, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, (Luke 1:3, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, help us do our jobs with integrity no matter what happens. Amen.
