He Cares

I just heard this quote. God is not moved by pain. You know me well enough by now to know that I have to investigate that.  I hope you will come along for the ride.

We read often that God is love. Doesn’t love care about every part of their loved one, even their pain? Remember that Jesus cried at the tomb of Lazarus. (John 11)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NIV)

God promises to wipe away every tear. Surely that doesn’t mean that he is ignoring our pain.

 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”(Revelation 21:4, NIV)

I don’t know about you but I want a God who understands what I am going through and cares abut my pain. In the worst traumas of my life, God proved it to me again and again. So much for that quote!
