If you haven’t heard this before, hear it clearly now. God has a purpose for your life, something to do before he returns or you die. Do you know what it is? Have you asked God to show you what it is?
Should you fill your house home, brain, and mind? Are you cluttered up with unfinished projects? Start there. Get to work and finish that quilt; knit those socks, write your memoir; make that cake.
If the Lord is calling you to Africa or some such, you will either need to finish those things or throw them out. That is not good stewardship, so finish what you started, just like God does.
What is holding you back? Why? As the verse below says, it is time to take a good look at your life.
You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. (Haggai 1:6-7, NIV)
All of this will take time but quitting won’t speed it up. Quitting is not an option. After all, we work for the Lord God Almighty.
Prayer-Lord, show us where to start so that we can finish the tasks you’ve set before us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
