Take Time

As we finish up our study on food safety, we must tackle the finish! Cooking is important! Use a food thermometer if you have one. Remember, you can’t tell by colour if meat is done or not. Don’t partially cook something and ‘finish it off’ later.

Medium-rare to medium-well is your best eating choice in a steak house or at the BBQ. Yes I know, some like to eat rare meat but note that all the outside surfaces of foods carry some bacteria that is killed off only when the outside of the meat is cooked.

Let’s think of these cooking guidelines in prayer form. We pray, but we need to allow God some cooking time to get things done. When the time is right, the temperature perfect, he feeds the answers to us. After all…For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.(Ecclesiastes 3:1, NLT)

Prayer – Thanks for listening to our prayers, God, and cooking them to your satisfaction before you feed them to us. Amen!
