A New Tradition

Our pastor began our new Christmas tradition with these words.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25, NIV)

This is how it works.  We all signed up to either host or guest at a meal. The church staff arranged us into groups and on December 6th, we will either host or be hosted at a potluck meal in the home of another church member.  After dinner we meet at the church for carol singing and a “Feast of Sweets.”

It might be too late to do this at your church this year, but a whole new year stretches ahead.

Prayer – Father, let us never be afraid to step into a new tradition, especially when your word suggests it is a good thing. Amen
