Camped Out

You know by now that my idea of camping out is a comfy motel with water and heat. That’s why I admire the crafting Israelites so much.

They made the ark, furniture, melted gold, wove fabric and sewed clothing. They built frames and cross bars.  (Exodus 36-38)  They accomplished all this and more while continually setting up camp, staying a few days and then repeating the process. Imagine just getting the gold to the right working temperature, only to find out it’s time to pull up stakes!

I guess that’s why God only wanted the willing.

Then Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord had given ability and who was willing to come and do the work. (Exodus 36:2, NIV)

Prayer- Lord, when our life seems to be nothing but a series of camp outs, help us to be willing to live out your purpose anyway. Amen
