Christian Salvage Mission

What do you collect in your home? When things overwhelm us, giving them away is a great gesture. We generally think of knick-knacks and trinkets, old clothes and such as the best items to give away, but  Christian Salvage Mission collects Christian reading material for third world countries.

Their guidelines are clearly stated on the web site. So instead of tossing Granny’s Bible, your unused concordance, or old Sunday school flannel-graph, think about others who haven’t a word to their name and share.

Why not collect moments instead of things? Why not feed a country’s mind with the Christ? As Christian Salvage Mission states on their web page: “We need your help to get the Bread of Life to Pastors, Bible Students and Churches overseas. They are hungry for the Word of God.”

Jesus asked a third time, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus had asked him three times if he loved him. So he told Jesus, “Lord, you know everything. You know I love you.” Jesus replied, “Feed my sheep.  (John 21:17, CEV)

Prayer –  Lord we have so much that we don’t need. Show us what we can pass on out of our much, so others might have a little. Amen
