Defining Moments

Do negative words ring in your ears from a difficult childhood, a bad work experience, or some other trauma?

What will define you? The words others say about you or the words God says about you?

Which of those two choices ring true? Will you believe the Creator who created you, yes even you, or the bad mouth of a person who gets their power by demeaning others?

Here are some God comments to treasure and repeat when those other thoughts ring in your head!

I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:14, NASB)

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; (1 Timothy 4:4, NASB)

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10, NASB)

Prayer- Lord, speak your truth into our ears whenever we slip into bad listening or remembering habits. Thank you! In Christ. Amen.
