Discarded

Now that we have all these recycling boxes in my community, I am horrified to see how many tins, bottles and plastic bits one person throws out. I guess I could stop eating but that creates its own set of problems. When I didn’t know, it didn’t matter, but now I know.

I used to treat God’s word just as casually. There were bits I didn’t like much so I skipped right over them. Long genealogies bored me; certain of God’s clear expectations looked too hard so I pretended they weren’t there.

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30, NIV)

Prayer – Father, we aren’t ignoring you any more. We hear your word clearly today. Amen
