Distracted

Beware folks, for distraction lingers in every direction.  While you are pouring your heart out to the Lord, someone calls for help, begs your time to attend to their troubles which are far beyond your control or even theirs. What are you to do?

Seek guidance from the Lord. There are people willing to waste your time because they are wasting theirs in worry and they want company.  Worry is one of Satan’s tools and he has no shame in using it. It is bad enough that others waste their time worrying; it is really awful if they manage to waste yours as well.

God will put you on the right path again, if you will but inquire as to wisdom.  Otherwise you might get experience. Experience is what you get when what you didn’t get what you wanted!

As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. (Matthew 13:4, NIV)

What birds are eating your seed right now? Wake up, look around you and stop feeding them!

Prayer- Lord, we want to walk in your path, not the paths of worry and distraction that others set before us. Give us wisdom Lord. Amen.
