Moses looked like and was perceived to be an Egyptian even though he was really an Israelite. (Exodus 2:19) He knew he was an Israelite but he wasn’t up to much. He even killed a man. (Exodus 2:12)
I guess that’s what we look like when we first come to know Jesus as our Savior. We don’t look much like him. Do not get discouraged. Over time, like Moses, we draw closer to God and the closer we get to God, the more people will recognize us as His loyal followers.
At first, Moses was afraid to even look toward God. (Exodus 3:6), but as he learned to trust God, their relationship changed.
And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. (Exodus 33:11, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, you called us to yourself, just the way we were. Now make us more like you, so that others see the resemblance. Amen.
