Don’t Take It

What I mean to say is “Don’t take it personally.” People aren’t really out to get you. What they do is part of them, not you. Resolve not to take offence. Cut them some slack and have a bit of peace in your life.

Sometimes those people are just plain rude, or don’t know any better or worse. However if you refuse to take them seriously, they have no where to go with their insults. They boomerang right back to them.

Maybe they didn’t even realize they said something stupid or hurtful. Maybe they just took something else personally.

Be the bigger person (and I don’t mean eat more chocolate to get there!)

It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor). (2 Corinthians 5:19, AMP)

Prayer – God, let me tell you about all the things I’ve been taking personally so that you can help me to forgive. So first of all… Amen
