As a child it meant scrubbed faces, shiny shoes, new bonnets and candy sweets. Oh, how we looked forward to Easter. The original participants found this day not to be so great. Instead of hiding Easter eggs for their kids, they were hiding themselves.
So when it was evening on that same day, the first day of the week, though the disciples were [meeting] behind barred doors for fear of the Jews, (John 20:19, AMP)
As you can tell from the verse above, you cannot hide yourself from the Christ. Once he starts his work in you, no bars will keep him out.
If you are willing, he will make you into an entirely different person! (And we will all be grateful for the change!)
Prayer – Lord, we open ourselves to your work in our lives, cause none of us like who we are now. Amen
