1 Corinthians 6:12–Everything is permissible (allowable, lawful) for me. But not all things are helpful (good for me to do, expedient, profitable when considered with other things.) Everything is lawful for me but I will not become the slave of anything or be brought under its power. (AMP)
Paul kept a tight rein on what he allowed in his life. Do we?
a. Let’s make a list of our ‘everything’ permissible.
b. Then the permissible but not so helpful.
c. And the lawful.
d. Finally, the things which might be able to enslave.
e. And our decision. That is, what will we do about it?
Prayer: Father, show us our uncontrolled behavior, and then, help us stop it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
