Extraordinary

Humans strive for happiness and hope to find it in comfort, things, travel, good jobs, happy families. Name your favourite.

Pre-covid-19 we all were busy, busy, busy. Then suddenly we found ourselves sitting in house, waiting for our world as we then knew it, to start again.

During those days, many of us learned new lessons. Life is not found in busy. Comfort is not all the things we wanted to own. Travel ended. We found we had no desire to take a world jaunt. Jobs changed and we adapted to less. Taste buds reassembled to what was available.

We had a chance to make a new kind of life.

Hopefully, Jesus followers will once more stive to walk in the fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit (that is the result of His presence within us) is love, unselfish concern for others, joy, inner peace, patience (not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23, AMP)

Did you catch that line? These things are not against the law. We can choose them with wild abandon as we follow the Christ.

Prayer- Lord, you offered the opportunity to re-arrange our lives. Help us to appreciate that. Amen.
