Failure of Prayer

No matter how often we fail, no matter in what area, God is always ready and willing to forgive it all and invite us to try again. He does that when we talk to him in prayer.

However that means we must pray! Our big problem is that we don’t

The chief failure of prayer is its cessation.

P.T. Forsyth

Do we even realize how many lives we could have changed if only we had prayed? Do we ever give up just as heavens gates were about to flung wide with the answers?

Of course, we all get busy or forgetful and even doubtful but to discontinue prayer would be at the very least irresponsible. Let’s not wait to find out how bad that could really get

Pastor Sharpe told of his family of eight. Mother determined all would come to know the Lord and they did, but hubby was a hold out. Pastor was in tears when he announced one morning that his father had asked Jesus into his life…at the age of ninety something.

Suppose that the family had stopped praying? Just suppose. Never give up on prayer. It changes lives.

Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. (James 5:16a, MSG)

Prayer- Lord, here we are finally, back where we belong, talking to you. Amen.
