Have you ever been criticized for what you do or say? Well, who hasn’t? Sometimes it is just plain ruthless and mean. Sometimes it is honest, if we but care to face it.
What if we decided to take criticism as positive feedback and not failure? Failure happens only when we fall short of what was expected and in that vein; we are all failures, all the time. We can’t please everyone. However, feedback is an opinion that we can use to improve ourselves.
I guess it comes down to our attitude. What do you do with what people throw at you? Why we just learn to ‘think the same way that Christ Jesus thought.’ (From Philippians 2:5, CEV)
Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] (Philippians 2:5, AMP)
Prayer – Lord God, when we let our feelings get in the way of either constructive or malicious criticism we fail to learn anything. Help us with that Lord, please, For Christ who showed us how. Amen
