Flylady.plus is the website of a gal who calls herself Flylady because she straightened out her messy house and her messy life and learned to fly. Now she teaches others how to do the same.
Every day she sends encouraging messages to people like you and me.
Even my messy friend signed on. She used to display this sign on her front door as an excuse for her untidy home. ‘Lord, please bless this mess.’ It was her excuse for a life of untidy clutter and just plain dirt. She blamed the dog, the cat, her children, and her husband for everything from the sinkful of dirty dishes to the newspapers covering the dining room table.
I don’t believe that God is a messy God. Her prayer was in vain.
One person shouldn’t have to clean up after everybody else, but someone has to lead the home and teach graceful living.
If your family members don’t close closet doors or put laundry in the wash baskets, who taught them that? Do they chew with their mouth open? Where do you think they learned that? It’s time for new habits so that your little ones leave home in better shape.
